NOT ANYMORE. Thanks to EVMI’s multi-strained microbes, the process of treating high BOD is made easier. Our experience with Manila Water’s wastewater treatment plant shows that it can be done, even when using a 300 BOD-designed wastewater treatment plant to treat loads of up to 12,000 BOD. This is done in a conventional wastewater treatment plant with hardly any added modifications, to treat the high BOD, pass DENR/LLDA standards and at the same time drastically reduce sludge from the aeration tanks, clarifiers and aerobic digesting tanks.
